When Diviera Drive opened in the spring of 2015, the artist Christian Calabro was commissioned for the main piece of art which is placed in the center of the restaurant. Diviera Drive is a Italian spot offering wood-fired pizzas, housemade pastas, wine & cocktails, which I recommend to check out.

In exchange for his work he was awarded a studio space in retail area of the restaurant for a one year residency. Every Thursday Christian opened up his art studio for the public and transformed his work space into a gallery… people came, drank wine, ate the best pizza in brooklyn, enjoyed his impressive art and watched his working process… which unfortunatly happens for one last time tonight.

So everyone who`s in town, take the chance, check it out and visit him, for those who are not around, enjoy the photos I took on a beautiful summer evening at the Open Art Studio of Christian!
