BLONDIE POP UP SHOP X OBEY

I documented the Pop up photo show for Obey (Shepard Fairey’s) collaboration with Blondie. Chris Stein, the guitarist in Blondie is also a prolific, skilled photographer. His photos in the exhibition featured the band and all their adventures whilst touring. I found it so exciting to see Chris Stein’s work, amazing portraits of Debbie Harry with Iggy Pop, Joey Ramone and many more musicians vital to the 70’s punk scene. As well as going to the Pop up event I got the opportunity to photograph Blondie infront of the barriers at their show. Singing Blondie in the car with my mum when I was younger all came flashing back to me and it was the best experience. After so many years Blondie are still such an accomplished band. So here it is, Blondie’s new album designed by Shepard Fairey, the Chris Stein pop up show and Blondie live, amazing as ever.
