Bringing Light To What Is Dark
Last year, our friend and co-worker Kaci Kasmir was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and throughout 2012 she went through six cycles of chemotherapy. She has remained so positive the whole time and is very determined to defeat this unfortunate disease. As a matter of fact, we haven’t been able to keep her out of the office designing like the wind.
Last month I was asked to document her completion of the chemo treatments and celebrate her starting a new chapter in life. Way to go Kaci!! – Jon Furlong
HELPING BRING AWARENESS FOR THOSE LIVING IN A SHADOW
A very close friend of mine who happens to be an extraordinary artist, Kevin Nocerino, joined forces with me to bring my vision of rebirth after chemotherapy treatments to light. The Bird of Paradise has always been my favorite flower, reminding me of my childhood days. This colorful species brings more meaning to me than ever before, symbolizing freedom and a clear perspective for the future. My thoughts were to share my feelings with those going through their own dark times by symbolizing their rebirth on the most physical manifestation of the poison inside.
