The Kids Will Have Their Say: London Punk Documented
A photography exhibition at the Doomed Gallery in Dalston, London. For this project I documented the DIY punk scene in London. I’ve been attending hardcore punk shows in London since I was 15 (now I’m 21) and over the years I’ve accumulated so many photos that I thought it was time to arrange them into some sort of project. I feel there have been many photography projects and exhibitions about the late 70’s era of the music scene in London but not of the current scene developing now. London has so much to offer in terms of the music scene, for example DIY Space For London has very recently been opened. I thought this project was a great opportunity to not only take photographs of live shows but to intimately document the people that attend these shows and will most likely be the next generation of bands to come. These photos feature Fergadelic (the legend behind Palace Skateboards), H09909, Ceremony, homemade tattoos, good friends and much more.
