Finished out my weekend by checking out the closing night party at the Jerry Maguire Video Store installation put on by Everything Is Terrible. They basically created a video store (remember those?) that was stocked only with VHS tapes of the 1996 classic, Jerry Maguire. EIT gathered its substantial stash by reaching out to people and asking them to send in their copies of the VHS (lovingly referred to as “Jerrys”) and contribute towards the project. They’ll soon be constructing a bizarre pyramid in the desert which will serve as monument and final resting places for all the tapes they acquired. You know, totally normal.

Installation was complete with some Jerry themed art, and notes from all those who had sent in tapes to EIT. The night ended with an insane performance by YouTube legend Mike Diva, can’t wait for that to go up online.

Glad I got to check it out. Jerrys never die.
