BEATS RHYMES AND LIFE

We have a great video on the site right now. We interviewed Michael Rapaport on his movie Beats Rhymes and Life: The Travels of A Tribe Called Quest. The movie documents the career of seminal hip hop group A Tribe Called Quest as well as the conflicts within the group that eventually led to their breakup. In this piece, Rapaport discusses the highs and lows of the project and his internal struggles with making the film. His love of the group is apparent and talks about the reasons he made the film and some of the controversy that surrounds it. The movie is in theaters now, for a few more weeks.
