  • ZUMIEZ 100K

Shepard, Pubes, Burl, Tommy and I made our way to Keystone for this years 100K.  Zumiez brings 1,100 of their sales people that have sold in excess of $100,000.00 for the year to Colorado for some time on snow and a celebratory bash that is attended by a who's who of company founders, athletes and musicians. Shepard did an install on location for the grand prize winner who sold over $600,000!  Congrats on that Chris, hope you can make some wall space to put this thing up......

  • Let Fury Have The Hour

Shepard recently collaborated with Antonino D’Ambrosio and created artwork for his soon to be released documentary on the Clash that coincides with the Let Fury Have a Heartbeat exhibition currently showing at Subliminal Projects. The print will be released tomorrow, Thursday, Jan 7th at a random time. Its signed by both Shepard and author/director Antonino D’Ambrosio. Edition of 450, signed/numbered, $50. Limit 1 Per Person/Household.

Based on Antonino D’Ambrosio’s critically acclaimed book, the documentary Let Fury Have the Hour considers a range of increasingly pressing concerns, using the Clash’s legacy and, more importantly, the profound creative-activism of artists, musicians, and citizens throughout the world as a framework to address persistent issues—from poverty and racism to environmental devastation and war. The film offers insight from people who believe in the power of art and culture to tackle these issues, and who promote a worldview that is inclusive, expansive, and dynamic. Like the Clash and featured creative-activists, the film challenges its audience to make a difference, creates a new dialogue that moves beyond reactionary and simplistic politics, and inspires us to become part of a historical process of justice and change.

  • SKATOPIA

My friend just sent me over an old trailer he made from Skatopia from '01 and '02. I skipped my college graduation in 2002 and went here instead, definitely a decision I have never regretted. If you aren't familiar with Skatopia it's exactly like what it's name sounds like, a skate upotia. Check out SKATOPIA. Brewce Martin founded Skatopia in 1996  in Rutland, Ohio and has continuously expanded as the years have gone on. It houses one of the craziest bowls I have ever witnessed (check the vert wall drop-in in the trailer) as well as a boat load of other terrain. But the extra curricular activities make Bowl Bash even more fun.

I found my shirt from '02 in the trunk of my car.

    BOWLBASH2

This is either the year Jackass hit the airwaves or the year after I can't remember but some people were super pissed when they arrived. I remember Bam's brother's band, CKY showing up to shoot a video and people threatening to kill them and burn their truck (their equipment is in the rental truck getting stuck going up the hill in the video) Cooler heads prevailed somehow and we all wrecked some cars.

So here's the footage of the crew I went with, Camp Keystone. Thanks Willy! (Errandboy)
